Articles of Faith

1st.      We believe in one true and living God, and that there are three in the Godhead: The Father, Son and Holy Ghost. References: Matthew 28:19, 3:16-17; Luke 9:26; John 1:1-2, 14:26; 1 John 5:7;

2nd.     We believe the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, of the original King James Bible, are the words of God, and the only rule of FAITH AND PRACTICE. References: 2 Peter 1:21; Romans 15:4; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Luke 24:45; Isaiah 8:20

3rd.     We believe in the doctrine of eternal and particular election. References: Romans 9:11, 11:5; Ephesians 1:4; John 17:2, 10:28, Acts 13:48; 2 Thessalonians 2:13

4th.     We believe in the doctrine of original sin. References: Romans 3:9-12, 5:12-15, 5:18-19

5th.     We believe in Man’s impotency to recover himself from the fallen state he is in by nature by his own free will and ability. References: Romans 8:2, 9; John 6:44; Ephesians 2:1; John 15:5

6th.     We believe that sinners are justified in the sight of God only by the imputed righteousness of Christ. References: Romans 3:24; 1 Corinthians 6:11; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Romans 8:33; Revelation 12:10-11

7th.     We believe that God’s elect shall be called, regenerated, and sanctified by the Holy Ghost. References: 1 Corinthians 6:11; Romans 8:28; Jude 1:1; Ephesians 1:3-4; Romans 6:5-6, 3:20, 28, 30

8th.     We believe that the saints shall preserve in grace, and never finally fall away. References: John 10:27-29; Romans 8:38-39

9th.     We believe that Baptism and the Lord’s Supper and washing the Saint’s feet are ordinances of Jesus Christ, and true believers are the only subjects of those ordinances and believe the only true mode of Baptism is IMMERSION. References: Luke 3:21-22; Mark 14:22-24; John 13:4-5; Colossians 2:12

10th.   We believe the punishment of the wicked will be everlasting and the joys of the righteous will be eternal. References: Matthew 25:46; John 5:29; Titus 1:2; 1 Peter 5:10;

11th.   We believe that no minister has a right to the administration of these ordinances except those that are regularly called and come under the hands of the Presbytery. References: Hebrews 5:1-4; Acts 13:2-3

12th.   We believe in the resurrection of the dead and a general judgment. References: Luke 20:35-36; John 5:28-29; Revelation 20:11-15

13th.   We believe that marriage is to be between one man and one woman; neither is it lawful for any man to have more than one wife nor for any woman to have more than one husband at the same time. References: (Gen. 2:21-24; Mal. 2:14-15; Matt. 19:4-6)

14th.   We believe that it is not lawful to have in membership, hold in union, or join in communion, with any person or persons, believer or body of believers, church or churches, or association of churches, who allow that it is biblically acceptable, or legally correct by law or governing authority, to have in membership, or support in any way, those who believe contrary to our Abstract of Principles (Articles of Faith) and the original King James Bible.
